Coordinate Import and Export Operations: Oversee the end-to-end import and export processes, including order processing, documentation, shipping, and tracking.
Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and review import/export documents, ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and export control laws.
Freight Management: Liaise with freight forwarders and carriers to schedule shipments, negotiate rates, and monitor transportation arrangements.
Customer Support: Serve as a point of contact for international customers, address inquiries, provide shipping updates, and resolve any issues related to import/export orders.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges in the import/export process, create contingency plans, and take proactive actions to ensure on-time delivery.
Compliance Monitoring: Stay updated with import/export regulations, trade agreements, and industry best practices. Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to compliance guidelines.
Process Improvement: Evaluate and enhance import/export processes, propose and implement innovative solutions to streamline operations and enhance overall performance.
Qualifications and Skills
A relevant degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field is preferred.Proven experience in import/export coordination or a similar role within the logistics or international trade industry.Strong understanding of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping documentation.Proficiency in using import/export software, ERP systems, MS Office, and shipment tracking tools.Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.Problem-solving and analytical abilities with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve as a point of contact for international customers, address inquiries, provide shipping updates, and resolve any issues related to import/export orders
