Job description
A bookkeeping and tax service firm located in Cypress。Orange County。is seeking a long term Part-Time Payroll Clerk. As a Payroll Clerk。you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our clients. You will play a key role in maintaining payroll records, ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations, and addressing payroll-related inquiries. This is a part-time position requiring 40 hours of work per month, split between 20 hours from the 1st to the 5th and 20 hours from the 16th to the 20th of each month.

Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process payroll for clients according to deadlines.
Maintain payroll records and ensure proper filing.
Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and assist in resolving discrepancies.
Address payroll-related inquiries from clients in a professional and timely manner.
Assist in other payroll-related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to new environments.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Adhere strictly to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure all processes are followed with accuracy.
Previous experience in payroll is a plus but not required.
Knowledge of AME System is a plus but not required.

Compensation:
Hourly Pay: Starting at $20 per hour, with a $1 increase each month, capped at $30 per hour.
Part-Time Schedule: 40 hours per month (20 hours from the 1st-5th and 20 hours from the 16th-20th).
Starting Date: May 1st 2025
