Position: Assistant Factory Manager
Job Summary:
As the Assistant Factory Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall efficiency, productivity, and success of our manufacturing operations. We’re in a new factory in Pittsburgh, and we mainly manufacture steel pipe.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
Collaborate with department heads to optimize workflow and resource utilization.
Support the Factory Manager in leading and motivating production teams.
Assist in training and development initiatives to enhance team skills and efficiency.
Work closely with the QA/Test team to ensure rigorous quality control measures are implemented and maintained.
Participate in regular quality inspections to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with the Warehouse team to oversee inventory levels, ensuring materials availability for production.
Implement efficient inventory control measures to minimize shortages and excesses.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Implement best practices to enhance overall factory efficiency.
Generate regular reports on production metrics, identifying key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Provide updates and insights to the Factory Manager and senior management.
Promote and enforce safety protocols and guidelines throughout the factory.
Participate in safety audits and training sessions.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in both Chinese and English communication.
Familiarity with the steel, fabrication, and manufacturing industry is advantageous.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in project management and production planning.
Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, management, and other departments.
Physical Qualifications:
Ability to move around the factory floor and oversee various production processes.
Comfortable standing for extended periods.
Coordination and ability to handle technical equipment and tools.
Strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to identify and address potential safety hazards.
